Guidelines at Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort

 Reservations

  • Since Cabins/RV Campsites are booked exclusively for you, you are responsible for the total amount due for the full length of your reservation, no discounts for late check-ins or early departures. Your 35% deposit payment is considered acknowledgment of our reservation and cancellation policies. Rentee must be 18 years old and have a valid Driver’s License.

  • 1 dock slip is free with each Cabin/RV camping rental, however during Peak Season (June 11th-August 13th) an extra Boat/Pontoon has a dock slip fee of $10/day.

 Cabin

  • Typically, reservations are made from Sunday - Sunday. We will accept shorter reservations depending on availability (during peak summer months). However, these reservations will not be made until 10-14 days prior to the dates requested and are to be a three-night minimum. Example: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

  • We accept shorter reservations and weekend reservations during the months of May and September. Again, 3-night minimum. Fishing Opener Weekend: 2-night minimum

  • For cabins, an additional person charge is $35/day or $175/week for each person over the base number of people for each cabin.

Cabin Check-In/Check-Out

  • Cabin check-in after 3pm on your day of arrival. If early check in is absolutely needed, please call or email to see if we are able to accommodate.

  • Check out is 10am on your day of departure.

  • We appreciate the cabins to be left in similar condition on departure as they were on arrival.  We expect you to take out all of your garbage to the dumpster. Excessive cleaning fee starts at $50 if cabin was not well maintained.

RV Campsite/ Check-In & Check-Out

  • For RV Campsite, an additional person charge is $10/adult/day and $5/child/day for each person over the base number of people (2 adults), max persons for each RV campsite is 7 people.

  • Check-In: 3pm on Sundays and 1pm Monday through Saturday. 

  • Check-out is at noon.

  • 3 nights minimum on holidays.

Deposit/Cancellation

  • A booking deposit totaling 35% is required to secure all bookings. We do Require a Valid Credit Card on file for all Cabin/RV Reservations, however we will accept cash and checks for payment when checking out at the end of your stay. We comply with the data security requirements made by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) as our POS software provides end-to-end encryption for PCI compliance. Our system protects our guests from credit card fraud: when transactions are made or filed, the card information cannot be copied.

  • If you must cancel your Reservation more than 60 days prior to your visit, your deposit will be refunded only if the cancellation is filled. Cancellations that are not filled are non-refundable but can be applied to another booking within the same calendar year of equal value to the original booking. Cancellation less than 60 days of your visit are non-refundable and no credit is applied.

Payment Types & Information

  • We accept cash, check, and credit card for payments. A 3% credit card usage fee will be charged for credit card transactions. We accept most credit cards: Visa, Discovery, MasterCard, etc. We do not accept American Express.

  • Rates do not include a 6.875% state sales tax and .5% county tax, which will be added to your total when booking online or calling to make a reservation.

Visitors

  • All visitors need to register in the lodge upon arrival in accordance with Minnestoa State Law & Fire Code BEFORE proceeding to cabin or campsite they are visiting. 

  • Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort reserves the right to limit the number of individuals (Guests & Visitors combined) to a Cabin’s Maximum Capacity. Visitors are required to leave by the 10pm quiet time. 

  • Visitor Charges: $12/person/day ages 2 years and older, or $20/person/day on holidays (Holidays include: Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekend, and July 3-5.)

Pets

  • Furry friends are welcomed at our resort. No more than 2 dogs per cabin. We ask that you keep your pets off the beds and furniture and provide your own pet dishes. Please do not leave your pet unattended at any time. Pets must be kept on a leash, and it is your responsibility to clean up after them immediately. Do not allow your pet to disturb the peace of other guests at the resort. Do not allow your pets to dig holes. Pets are not allowed on the beach or in the lodge.

  • There is a walking trail on the open prairie available for you and your pet to enjoy. See Maps page.

  • We will require you to sign our Pet Policy in order to have your pet on resort grounds.

    Campers: $8/per pet/per night ($56 for week)

    Cabins: $30/per pet/per night ($210 for week)

Boat/Pontoon Rentals

Guests that rent our Boats & Pontoons must follow & agree to our Watercraft Policy.

Water Toys

Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort offers a variety of small, non-motorized watercraft, such as paddleboats, kayaks and canoes free of charge for guest use pursuant to the following conditions:

  • Lifejackets must be worn by all those using Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort watercrafts at all times.

  • Non-motorized watercraft are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved. Please be mindful of other guests.

  • All children must be directly supervised by an adult.

  • Non-motorized watercraft must stay within sight of the resort and must be returned before dark.

  • We offer the use of these watercraft as a courtesy of Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort and cannot be held liable for any injuries while operating the non-motorized and motorized watercrafts.

 Miscellaneous Policies

Quiet Time: 10:00pm-9:00am. No loud outside music during this time. Children should return to their campsite.

Smoking: All of our cabins and porches are non-smoking and non-vaping. We require our guests to dispose of the remains in a garbage canister. Please do not drop buts anywhere on the resort grounds. Smoking is not permitted in outdoor common areas including, but not limited to, the patio, beach or playground areas.

Not allowed at Resort: Fireworks, Jet Ski’s, air soft/pellet guns and water balloons are not allowed on resort property.

Campfires/Firewood: Only DNR approved wood, charcoal or paper waste may be burned (No Plastic!). All fires must be contained within a designated fire ring. The fire may never be left unattended. The fire must be put out by midnight in observance of quiet hours. DNR approved firewood is available for purchase at the Bait Store for $6/bundle.

Damage Policy: The credit card on file will be charged in the case of damage to the property or furnishings of Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort due to the guests stay.

Balance Due & Tab Charges: incurred during the week are due before Check-Out (credit card on file can be charged). Typically, should be settled by 8:00pm on the day prior to check-out. Keys must be brought to the Lodge upon departure.

Pet Policy

Pet Owner Hereby agrees as Follows:

1.      Resort Owner will only allow pet(s) on resort property upon the agreement of this policy being signed……. Only two pets allowed per booking.

2.      Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. They are not allowed in the lodge or beach area and may not be left unattended when on a tie-out. Dogs specifically must be kept from barking.

3.      Pets displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other animals or displaying excessive noise that is disturbing other guests, will not be tolerated and you'll be asked to board your pet.

4.      Keep Pet(s) inside while you’re gone if they are unable to remain quiet.

5.      Guests and adult family members who bring a pet will be charged $12/pet/day and need to sign the pet policy. If this is not paid, person who booked will be responsible for payment. Disruptive pets will be charged at our discretion or asked to leave.

6.     Any damage to resort buildings, property, or third-party damage caused by your pet will be the full financial responsibility of the pet owner.

7.      Pet owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort, its owners, employees or representatives against all liability, judgements, expenses, (including attorneys’ fees) and claims by third parties for any injury to any person or damage of property of any kind whatsoever caused by their pet(s)/dog(s).



Watercraft Policy

Watercraft Renter Hereby Agrees As Follows:

Reservation: You must be at least 18 years of age. The renter is fully responsible for their entire rental term.

Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort: We Reserve The Right To Replace A Watercraft For Another Due To Repairs Or Booking Conflicts.

Fuel: Included and a part of rental fee.

Watercraft Operation: Please read the Minnesota Boating Laws before using our watercraft. One Life Jacket per person & a throw able flotation device are required by the MN DNR. We can provide these if necessary. Renter will not operate the equipment while under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

 Follow Maximum Capacities Rating For Persons & Weight Limit Posted On The Watercraft’s Sticker.

Return of Equipment: Please return our watercraft in clean & undamaged condition at the end of your rental term. Renter is responsible for damage to watercraft caused by any member of their party & Renter agrees that Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort may deduct such damages including repair costs & lost rental fees.

Liability: Watercraft Renter hereby releases Twin Lakes Lodge & Resort, its owners, employees or representatives from any and all liability for damage and injury or death to Renter or any other person or property resulting from the use of the equipment rented hereunder, and for any claim based upon negligence, breach of warranty, contract, claim or other legal theory, accepting his or herself, the renter, full responsibility for any and all such damages or injury which may result from such use.
